Mindfulness is almost a misnomer because we are clearing the mind enabling pointed focus<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p><p>Focus on your breath &#8211; both inhalation and exhalation<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p><p>As you focus on breath, notice the effect breathing has on your body<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p>If your mind wanders, gently bring your attention back to your breath<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p>If your mind wanders a lot &#8211; don&#8217;t worry, it is natural especially in the beginning &#8211; just gently bring your attention back to your breath<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p>Note:&nbsp; After practicing for a while, you will become accustom to focusing on your breath without distraction<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p>After you have been able to focus on your breath for a while and you feel you are comfortable and done, slowly allow yourself to become aware of your feelings and surroundings<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p>If you have not been able to focus much during your first attempts, don&#8217;t feel bad &#8211; it is common for most everyone<\/p><p><br><\/p><p>Keep practicing and gradually you will find that you are making progress<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p><p>Enjoy the comfort the meditation has provided you<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p>Set a regular schedule to meditate &#8211;
